Getting to know...

When it comes to data and healthcare, what are you most passionate about?

I love the challenges and opportunities of this market. I am always saying that we can be the trailblazers, principally here in Brazil, when we look at interoperability and using tech and data to promote health and fight disease. We are still somewhat lacking in technology and heavy data use when we look at other global health ecosystems, but that provides an amazing opportunity to really make a difference.

What are the biggest upcoming data and analytics challenges you will be working on in the next six months?

Now, we’re working to build the best data and analytics team ever. We also have cultural challenges to convince all health participants (clinics, hospitals, health insurance operators, etc.) to share data and information with each other. After all, the data belongs to the people, not the companies. After this, we are aware that data is nothing without intelligence and we are working to design and build the best health data platform in Brazil, if not, the globe.
